The GIC amount has been revised to CAD 20,635$ & the breakup will be as follows:

Step-1

30% amount will be disbursed as the first payment when you activate your GIC.
i.e CAD 6,190.5

Step-2

The rest 70% will be disbursed in 11 equal installments every month after i.e. CAD 1313
